THE ADAM MICKIEWICZ INSTITUTE, ACTING UNDER ITS
FLAGSHIP BRAND CULTURE.PL, AND THE EUROPEAN
SOLIDARITY CENTRE ARE PLEASED TO INVITE CULTURAL
MANAGERS FROM ARMENIA, AZERBAIJAN, BELARUS,
GEORGIA, MOLDOVA, POLAND AND UKRAINE TO
PARTICIPATE IN THE 3RD EDITION OF THE INTERNATIONAL
PROJECT CULTURE FOR LOCAL DEVELOPMENT.
The project consists of a series of workshops, Summer
School and special programme for project graduates. It
aims at creating a network of professionals in the field of
culture, equipping the participants with the skills in project
management and leadership, and developing participatory
approach towards project implementation.

OUR PROJECT IS ADDRESSED TO ACTIVISTS, WHO:
• are involved in management of cultural projects at their
different stages (i.e. initiation, coordination, realization);
• focus on local communities and perceive culture as
a potential tool for social change;
• want to add elements of international cooperation to
their work;
• want to gain new skills to improve their local creative
activities.

In May 2018, the first phase of the project will take place in
Kyiv and Tbilisi. Selected candidates will participate in a series
of intense workshops led by experienced mentors. They will
focus on deepening the participants’ knowledge of sociocultural
project management and broadening their ability to use
international cooperation to develop local projects. Moreover,
the participants would be eligible for competing for financial
support facilitating the implementation of their projects.
Selected participants will be invited to take part in the
second phase of the project – the Summer School, which will
take place in Poland from 29 July to 6 August 2018. The
Summer School programme will involve workshops as well as
study visits to Polish cultural and civic institutions and NGOs.
These activities will allow the participants to develop project
proposals created during the first stage.

The first phase of workshops will take place in*:
• Kyiv, 10–13 May 2018
(participants from Belarus, Moldova, Poland and Ukraine)
• Tbilisi, 24–27 May 2018
(participants from Armenia, Azerbaijan, Georgia and Poland)

* Polish participants are required to choose either workshops
in Kyiv or in Tbilisi.

The working language of the project is English, therefore
the participants are expected to know English at least on
B2 level.

Selection results will be announced by 8 April 2018
(e-mails will be sent to each applicant individually).

The organizers will cover costs related to workshops,
accommodation, and meals. In exceptional, justified cases,
they may also consider requests for the participation in
travelling costs. If you have any questions, please, contact us:

Travel and accommodation costs of the Summer School’s
participants will be covered by the organisers.
